Shropshire Climate Action Partnership (SCAP)/zerocarbonshropshire

Shropshire Climate Action Partnership – currently a voluntary organisation in the process of converting to an Incorporated Charitable Organisation (ICO) – is coordinating a collaborative Shropshire-wide community response to the climate and ecological crisis.

Published in December 2020, version 1 of the Zero Carbon Shropshire Plan to get the county to net zero carbon emissions by 2030 is available on our website zerocarbonshropshire.org.

All residents and enterprises are invited to sign the pledge to working towards net zero. Also, join one of our working groups and help us make connections and share solutions across the county regarding how we respond to the emergency.

Why did you become a member of BEN?

BEN is an ideal network for SCAP to meet organisations engaged in environmental work and connect with them.

We joined to raise awareness of SCAP and our work; to encourage members to support the net zero emissions target and restore nature throughout Shropshire.

What do you hope to gain from being an BEN supporter?

  • Opportunity to network with other businesses
  • Sharing best practice with other businesses
  • Promoting business involvement in local environmental issues
